Forces occupy 430 lakh kanals of land in JK | KNO

Government on Wednesday said that Anantnag district has 7829 canals of land under the illegal occupation of government forces, Bandipore has 5782.5 kanals, Ganderbal has 2172.17 kanals, Pulwama has 15276.4 kanals, Shopian has 4803.15 kanals and Srinagar has 4951 kanals under force’s occupation. Baramulla district has 34598 kanals of land of land under force’s occupation while as Budgam has 33478 kanals and Kupwara has 12115 kanals of land under force’s occupation. According to government Kargil has 114859.13 kanals of land with various forces agencies and Leh district has 143949 kanals. The total land occupied by various agencies in Jammu region is 51116 kanals and 12 murals. In Kashmir, including Ladakh, this figure is at 379817 kanals.
